Trees and plants in 3dMax/MR

Can anyone recommend a good plugin/libaray for trees and plants?

I'm a reasonably experienced user, using 3dMax 2011 and MentalRay and I'm currently looking for vegetation content with good range and quality that I can use for foreground feature plants and background mass planting (forests etc).

I have been using RPC but am finding the workrounds to get decent shadows, odd abberations when using glossy reflections and generally lower resolutions, more and more restrictive.

I have looked so far at EasyNAT by Bionatics & Vue 8 by e-on. I know there must be loads more out there but would appreciate other users recomendations.

Itoo software do forest pack and a free forest pack lite.

 

Also for foreground I would use OnyxTree but you have to texture the plants yourself.

Check out http://seek.autodesk.com/ and search for "Tree" or "Bush" etc in Max files - plenty of content there to make a start with, they come with textures but will need setting up for whatever render engine you're using.

Check out GrowFX by exlevel

 

It is a really flexible program at a very good price.

id suggest onyxtree, you get a good level of control over the trees, though its difficult at times but if youre willing to read the manual then you can get some very good results.
