pwharton
This image is a work in progress and giving me a problem that I need some help with. This is a very small bathroom I am doing and the main lighting is the fixture in the center of the ceiling. I have started to make the fixture glow with the self illumination in MR, but when I put in the actual photometric light at the fixture to get shadows it become a big glow on the shower glass in the rendering. For this shot I have moved it in the hall outside the room. You can see its Glow in the mirror. My question is how do I add the light to the room so the shadows fall in the right place and not have it show a Glow of the photometric light in the shower glass? I am using mental render in Max 2011.
pwharton
Nobody has this problem or knows how to fix it, or can direct me to where I might find an answer? I know from using scanline rendering and omni's I could tell it to not show. But so far i have not found a way to do that with mental render and Photometric lights. is there something i am missing here?
odouble
Scroll down to the Advanced effects of your photometric light in the modify panel and uncheck the specular option
