havok3
Hello to everyone first, I'm new on this forum. I usually use 3DSMax to model 3D game stuff, but recently I just took a high-poly formation with Mental Ray. A friend told me about FryRender and I downloaded a Demo Version to test it. Then, I wanted to know how FryRender manages Occlusion and where it is possible to activate it ? Thanks for answers =)
Fran
There is an AO channel for ambient occlusion in the Render configuration panel. When you enable it, fryrender will output the AO channel as a separate image file. Control the effect by adjusting the distance. The default value is 100cm. Fryrender renders the Color channel simultaneously. There is a drop-down menu at the top left corner of the frame buffer that controls which channel is visible in the frame buffer. To view the AO channel as it is rendering, click on it in the drop-down and click the Reset tonemapping button next to the preview window.
