Studios in Glasgow?

Hi there,

 

I am currently looking into relocating with my family from the NE of England to the Glasgow area. Despite coming from glasgow originally it has been 15 years since i lived there and back then I wasnt working in 3d. If i move back the intention is for me to get a job doing architectural visualisation and therefore wondered if anyone else lives near there and could name any studios that may be worth looking into or if you had any insights into any in particular.

 

I'll be doing the obvious google searches but thought id ask here first to see if anyone has any first hand experience.

Glo3D? Aren't they in Glasgow? I believe they are the in-house viz team for RMJM.

 

And if I remember rightly, Stef Thomas who regularly frequents these forums works for them. Perhaps he could give you the answers you are looking for.

I think the Glo team are in Edinburgh although they do have a couple of people in Glasgow too as far as I know. You could call Jonathan Messer who heads them up and see if they have any vacancies. There's also Inlightin (http://www.inlightin.co.uk/) and Soluis (http://www.soluis.com/). There may be more but I can't think of them at the moment.

Yes, you're correct Dave. Though we've just taken on a new staff member in Glasgow so won't be looking to recruit anyone else in the near future. You could always send a CV through to Jonathan in Edinburgh as Craig mentioned at j.messer@rmjm.com, although you did say you were looking for Glasgow work. I'm afraid I don't know any of the other studios in this area other than the ones Craig said.
