doniv
Hi, I am trying to recreate the attached scene and I have a problem with the imported 3D model of the plant in this scene, it appears as a 2D plant pasted onto the wall when rendered. Attached is the original scene, rendered image of my scene (i.e replicate) and a screen shot of Max when it opens the file initially , its got some reference to a missing external files.........., I do not know if this has got anything to do with it. I would appreciate your inputs on this , please help...
BrianKitts
you're correct, the plant is missing it's textures so it is just rendering as it's flat polygon colors. fixing your materials will render a better output.
John Pruden
If you don't have Colin Senner's "Relink Bitmaps" script, you might want to download that. It will assist in relocating missing bitmaps and automatically replace them in their respective materials. http://www.colinsenner.com/scripts/relink-bitmaps
doniv
Hi John, Thank you for that link, but I seem to have a problem to get it to work. 1) because my system doesn't seem to recognize the file type 2) so it doesn't open the file for me to choose those files which go into the 'saved paths' slot on the main interface 3) further if I have to check the net , it requires me to purchase a 'RegistryBooster' to fix the problem, which I can't afford at the moment. Is there a way out or do I have to skip the plant for now........? What do you have to say? Thank you
