spell-check, font size?

With the new board layout, I am not finding where 'preferences' are to change the 'look'. The fonts are too big in Firefox, so stuff gets cut off in the post lists. It's not a big deal, just annoying.

 

Also--in the previous layout, Firefox spellcheck worked when creating a post. Now it doesn't. Any suggestion as to how to make it work? Otherwise, everyone will know I can't spell (or type) all that well anymore.
