carlangas
Hi all, Im having a little trouble with dims. I am copying and pasting an elevation from 2 different dwgs with different UCS´s, when I paste my selection the dimensions rotate to the WCS of the target dwg. Ive tried to changing the ucs´s to match either dwg and using just the WCS but the dims just keep rotating (the text in the dim). I hope im being clear. Is there a variable that I need to turn on? please help!! Thanks
TheAllusionisst
Hmmm, I am not certain about a variable that effects dims except perhpas, "ucsfollow". You may play with it so that the ucs is or isn't rotated to your new elevation.
carlangas
the thing is that the text in the dimensions are allways oriented to the world ucs regardless if I rotate the ucs or not. I cant figure out how to avoid this cs
Onslaught
can you post a screen shot, can't quite understand. You might just have to turn "DIMTIH & DIMTOH" "OFF".
carlangas
I hope this illustrates the problem
carlangas
in the ¨after pasting¨pic, the text has changed orientation to match that of the WCS and that is what im trying to avoid.
Rusty
Set up a new (temporary) ucs while you paste in the dimensions.
