Antonin
Hi. I'm having troubles using backburner. I'm trying to render a high resolution image in strips with the split scan lines option in 'net redener'. The problem occurs when backburner is trying to stitch the all the strips together. This is what i get... As you can see there is no smooth stitching. The seperate strips do not line up correctly. http://users.skynet.be/sultan/FOTOS/visablestrips2.jpg I'm using 3dsmax2010 SP1 / Vray1.5 SP4 I hope someone can help me with this. Chad Warner
Are you using a saved irradiance map, or having each machine calculate it's own? It looks like that's whats happening, so you're seeing the different GI solutions between computers.
Antonin
I'm only using one machine.
Chad Warner
The problem could still exist though. Try a quick test at a smaller resolution, but generate the GI solutions first, and then use the saved IR maps to render the strips.
Antonin
I'm not sure what you mean. You have to know i'm still learning Vray. How do i save a irradience map? is it in the irradience roll-out?
Chad Warner
check out http://www.spot3d.com, it's the site with the reference manual for Vray.
Antonin
Thank you very much. I saved the IR map and Light cache map. Al the images seem to be ligning up correctly. Only the render looks like its darkened? Edited September 2, 2010 by Antonin
