paj
Been using Accurender for years now but looking to get something with more photo realistic results. Would like any suggestions on which way to go with rendering software. Looking for something pretty easy to learn and quick to set-up a scene to render. Model mostly in AutoCAD and sometimes in Sketchup. Thanks.
n3CRO
You got kerkythea render which is free btw and has decent renders http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/ then there is podium for $179.00 http://www.suplugins.com/index.php?p=home gallery at http://www.suplugins.com/gallery/index.html
TheAllusionisst
I wouldn't suggest going with Podium (which uses Kerkythea) if you are trying to get to the next level from Accurender. If speed isn't an issue then Maxwell Render will get you realistic images relatively easily but it is a very slow render engine due to it being unbiased........ Something like Modo is a modeling and rendering program that does OK results as well, LightWave is similar in cost and results. The next step is probably giving in and buying one of the big three from Autodesk and Max is the defacto archvis choice. Straight mental ray out of any of the three will do nice work.
