Recommended video desktop recording software?

I want to record myself screwing around in Rhino/Grasshopper, basically record screenshots as seen here:

 

 

Free is preferred, but I may be willing to pay if it's not too expensive. Thank you.

i maybe wrong but snagit is stills only more of an advanced 'print screen'

 

camtasia is snagits video brother.

 

there was a thread on here for a free screen recorder, i'll see if i can find it

CamStudio is another free one. I usually use Camtasia though.
