Gary Ledgerwood
Could somebody please help me out. I could really use some input. Many thanks!
mgraphix
My first impression is that it´s way too light. The cars outside are burned out, but trees are still perfect green. You need to find a balance in the render. Other than that I like it:)
Gary Ledgerwood
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I agree with your advice and will work on that on my next image.
carlangas
On top of what has been mentioned you might want to tweek your table material as well, its reflecting a little too much. also placing items on the tables like a vase with flowers, placemat, some picture frames on the walls, etc. could help you achieve a more appealing image. Tron
I like it alot. If it was up to me, I might increase the appearance of the seams (grout) in the floor as it currently looks like a solid slab of marble. Other than that, it's very convincing... rock on w/ the mental ray brotha!
Gary Ledgerwood
Thank you both! My plan is to apply all of this advice and use this scene to practice on. As soon as I get a chance to revisit this, I will post updates. Again, thanks so much for the replies.
rsnell
I agree the "sunlight" seems rather "hot" relative to the background(trees/sky); also, the red car seems to distract from your focus. Agree the table tops are way too reflective, and possibly the wood ceiling beams. Vase/flowers on tables would probably add some life. Did you model the glass? I would have expected some reflections there possibly; maybe add a slight tint to the glass and "imperfection"; vertical mulls may be a bit undersized, maybe not. Also, that shadow on the exterior brick is distracting since can not tell what causes it. After you adjust the background and/or sunlight, you could take into ps, or other , and either adjust color levels; or duplicate layer and set on multiply at 30-50% to suit. Other adjustments could be made there as well. Not sure I agree with the floor grout/seams; may be ok after color adjustments-I think the floor looks pretty good after I just did the ps type adjustments noted above.
