Would appreciate Crits on my website

So i've got round to sorting a demo reel and website and thought I'd put it out there for some crits if anyone has any.

 

With regards the reel it seems people either love or hate the music so i'll be changing that albeit i'm not quite sure what with at the moment.

Nice site. I think your work is very welkl excecuted, but quite ininspiring subject matter. Its a shame that the site opens with a picture of a conservatory. I also think you should maybe not put all your stills into your reel as it starts to look like just more of the same. One last thing, you shouldnt list the 'software used' at the end of the reel. Just makes it look like an application for a job rather than a reel.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm working on the reel right now and I think youre quite right about the software list so i'll get rid.

 

The idea is that i'll add to the reel as and when new work comes up and now i'm thinking about it i'll do some specific things which i've never done previously as there was no need, like I was thinking a sort of 'making of' starting with a wireframe, then render then photoshop. Also i'm thinking of animating some of the stills, not much just some slight camera movement, but enough to make it a little more interesting. So when I get these ideas put into the reel and also get some more work the difference between the site and reel should become more apparent.

 

The only reason the conservatory is the first thing is because I thought it was the nicest image i've done so thought it was best to show it off.

A Loading Status Bar/Timer is needed when enlarging your renderings and when youre navigating through the images

Very nice site. Easy to navigate and understand. It feels a tad sparse right now but there's not much to do about that other than do more work

Cheers guys. I'll look into a progress bar as i'm sure there will be something out there I can use.

 

And yeah its fairly sparse at the moment, need to pad it out a bit, though hopefully wont be long till thats sorted, just need to get some images sorted.

Great site! My real crit is just to check your spelling. I'm not sure if it is the suttle differences in spelling of certain words from the US spelling, or my ignorance

from the main page if you click on demo reel it takes you to panoramics, and then you have to click on the second image button to see the actual demo reel. I would land on the reel first.

Cheers Brian for spotting that, managed to fix what was wrong and should work as intended now.

 

Also i'll give it another spell check, I thought I had picked it all up but i'll give it another going over to make sure.
