Opening with a new view????????

Greetings again. Hope this is a simple one. Is there any way to setup a different default opening set of viewports? I'd basically like to have just Left and Right Viewports and not the default 4 ports. I've tried going into views > viewport configuration and set up the viewports the way I'd want them but there is no way to save it. I've also gone into Customize and the Save Custom UI Scheme... with no luck. Sure would appreciate a little advice on this. Thank again. Peace gk

When you get the viewport configuration that you want, go to file and do a save as "maxstart.max"

This will go in the default "scenes" folder. That should take care of your problem. Now everytime you

reset or start a new file, you should have the viewports the way you want.
