monkeyman905
Hi Guys, I want to make a frosted glass material with text through the middle of the glass which looks like normal glass. Im thinking alpha map with the text on it but im not sure if this is correct?? as the alpha map would just make the text area see through and not look like glass was there (if that makes sence). Thanks Phil

Fernando Lino
that map should go in refraction glossiness where white is for the text and medium gray for the frosted glass
djoshi
simply trace & model the text, give a clear gls texture. boolean that text in frosted gls & put that modeled clear text in that area..you are done...!
Nic H
err dont model it! use a vray blend material normal glass for the base material tehn a frosted glass for teh overlay (glossy refraction 0.6-0.8? ish -and glossy reflection) use a black and white image of teh text as teh mask between the w
