Christiansltd
Hi, i have bought a new Z600 and when checking the second processor socket one of the prongs is actually missing so i am unable to install the second processor. The question is do the prongs in the socket that make contact with the processor have a special name and if so what ? Thanks in advance
AJLynn
You can't replace those, the soldering job is too small, it's done by machines - and motherboard soldering would certainly void the warranty. You should call HP tech support and get the motherboard replaced.

AJLynn
Oh, I misunderstood. Thought you were going to try to get one They're just called pins. I don't think there's any more specific term that "one of the pins is the CPU socket is fracked."
