Looking for help on future home improvement. 3D plan available and first concept

Hi Everyone,

 

My Wife and I are looking to make some improvement to our duplex in Montreal.

 

We are looking to get rid of some walls to open the space a bit, and need to keep 2 rooms (new baby is on it`s way).

 

I have done a quick sketchup scene (actually 3) with current floor plan, 3d version, and first quick concept with 1 main wall removed. I realize that i`m limited in my immagination and might only have some booring ideas and would like some of your nice ideas instead on the layout.

 

We will also be looking for some professional help to guide us on interior design (type of wood for the floor, maybe some concrete style in the kitchen, etc..) and a final 3d rendering.
