gkanz
Greeting Folks. Hope all are well. Was wordering if it were possible to bend either a plane or a loooong box into a perfect circle. The reason I'm not going the " just create a tube" route is because I want to do a "panoramic" jpeg texture on the inside surface and I'd want to know the exact length (width) of the plane (or loooong box) so I can resize the image accurately. If anyone has another way of doing this I'd appreciate hearing it. Thanx. Peace. gk
Tom Hamelrijckx
The 3D max bend modifier will do it, just make sure you have enough detail in the bended object...

Peter M. Gruhn
When you bend, the geometry deforms. Need to move the pivot to the face of the box which you want to stay constant length.
gkanz
Yes Mr. Gruhn, I shall remember that. Thank You for that extra bit of info. Have a good one. P. gk
