neil poppleton
I would be interested in finding out who has a 3dtv, or plans to buy one within the next 6 months.. ?
JonRashid
I have 3d Monitor but my second job is producing interactive stereoscopic content for education. I believe most monitors will be 3d capable soon as they only have to be able to run at 120Hz. The monitors have an edge on the tvs so prices are reasonable. I would wait on the tv's. There are already examples of screens that do not require glasses and I believe that's the way to go.
neil poppleton
I attended a conference yesterday on 3d stereoscopic in gaming and they all echoed your comment, suggesting glasses will disappear but a few years yet. They also did confirm how little extra it costs to produce a 3d TV, yet still the cost of these products are 3 , 4 x more than a normal TV..... JonRashid
Yep I think the tvs are making their money out of the consumer market. The PC monitors are only fractionally more expensive than their non 3D counterparts. All new classroom projectors are now 3d ready that might be a good alternative.
