jophus14
What is the best way to optimize vertices when importing a CAD file into Max? I have a logo that I exported out of Illustrator as a CAD file and imported into Max as a spline and there are way too many vertices. How can I cut down the number of vertices in the spline yet retain the shape of it? Thanks. Joseph Skowron
Fooch
You can bypass cad and go straight from illustrator to max. That might help. Make sure you save the ai file as an older version (I normally go for v3 etc)
-MerlyN-
there's a shape normalize modifier in max. try that one.

It still took a little bit of tweaking once in Max but importing the AI file into Max came in the cleanest. Thanks.
