Tommy L
I have a bit of a puzzler in Aftereffects (CS4). I have some text layers that I scaled, instead of changing the font size. I need to copy the masks from these layers and paste them onto a different layer, but because of the scaling the pasted masks are the wrong size... Is there any way to copy/paste that ignores the scale adjustment, or a way to set the current scale to be interpreted as 100%? I didnt see a AE section, mods, feel free to move this. aaronrumple
Unfold the transform effects below the clip and you should see position and scale. It can be set there. It is also animatable.
Tommy L
Thanks Aaron. I dont have AE in front of me at the moment. Are you sure that I can transform the mask and not the layer? When I did a freehand ctl+t on the mask it only affected the current keyframe, so at the next keyframe it went back to the wrong scale.
aaronrumple
Sounds like you might have scale keys applied at different points. Delete the keys or change the value at each key. Is the little red stopwatch on? It can really mess you up if you don't watch it by adding in a lot of unwanted keys.
