Christiansltd
Hi, I am teaching myself after effects, I am just having one issue, when rendering my final animation it is saving as a file that is way to large, is there a format to save to that keeps the quality but also reduces the file size. Thanks in advance for any tips
aaronrumple
Quicktime Mov's export pretty well from After effects. Try the H264 compression.
hockley91
I agree with Aaron. The H264 compression has looked great in my opinion and has a good file size. I have found the 1280x960 format in .mp4 sluggish with Quicktime so I usually convert to .WMV with "iOrgSoft Video Converter" and play through Windows Media Player without much noticeable loss in quality. erickdt
If you're planning on editing your AE compositions in Premier I'd suggest you not export them at all and instead import the AE comps directly into Premier. This establishes a link between the two files so if you make anymore tweaks on you AE comp it will automatically update itself in your Premier timeline.
