BVI
Hi Jeff, Please can you advise on the css/JS & Html that you used to create the banner, I think its awesome! Nic
Jeff Mottle
wow, when I saw this thread title, this certainly was not the first reaction I was expecting. I'm sure there will be a flood of negativity over it soon enough, as there always is with new ad formats on this site, but I'm happy at least one person appreciates it. I've sent the CSS to you via PM. It's pretty simple really, and I'm serving it through my adserver, but it's not required.
BVI
Cheers! The banner on the right gets in the way sometimes, but the "call to action" on the bottom is very well implimented.

notamondayfan
It does seem poinless having a "close" button if the banner reappears on the next page though. I dont want to upgrade to 2.0, and probably wont in 10 pages time.
leoA4D
crt!?! You are kidding, yes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathode_ray_tube Regarding the bottom banner, Leonard
BVI
You are kidding, yes? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathode_ray_tube Regarding the bottom banner, Leonard I was wearing my sarcastic hat. Ive found that CRT's draw more juice from the mains, but they are hardy. We threw one off a two storey building and it didnt even crack - I was hoping for a decent explosion. Brodie Geers
Nevermind it showing up on every new page. On Google Chrome the Close button doesn't seem to work at all. Count me in as one of the guys who hates it, and not because it's new. Honestly it'll probably keep me from coming back here until it's gone. -Brodie edit - so it will close actually but I have to maximize the window to be able to see the whole close button
Jonathan
To be honest I agree with Brodie, its really distracting and I think will gradually erode site appealability.
Craig Ramsay
I don't think I'd mind it so much if it didn't have the big cube on the left hand side. I'm afraid I agree with Jonny's comment... If there's something about a site that I find annoying I would be less likely to visit it. However, on the flipside I do understand the need to advertise.
