kag245
I am getting a lot of speckles in my render and I’m not sure where they are coming from. I have both FG and GI on and they are at default settings and speckle reduction is on standard. I have tried incresing the # of photons up to about 200000, but it made no difference at all. I’ve tried putting final gather into high mode instead of draft also. I thought it might be coming form reflections from the glass, so I turned off reflections in all of my glass in the scene, but none of this has worked. If anyone has any ideas, I would be in your debt. Here is a picture of the problem, and some of my settings.
Justin Hunt
I dont think that is a photon of FG issue, although you have issues with those settings. It is either a material or light issue, For the light, have you tries a photomtric light? Now for the Photon and FG settings. Firstly when using photons, leave the FG bounces to 0, they are discarded anyway. Use FG _DRAFT but increase the interpolate to around 50 Photons, Turn ON Optimize for FG Can you post the scene? jhv
Peter M. Gruhn
Not my field, but that looks like glossy reflections. Try set them to interpolate and make them blurrier.
carlotristan3d
I posted the same problem in this forum a long time ago, in my case it was a material issue. Increasing the glossy samples seemed to solved it, but at the expense on render time.
