Munz
I have never been able to figure out how to choose which axis I extrude along...it always extrudes along the z axis which doesn't work when I draw in elevation...this is probably a simple questions, thanks for any help.\ munz
Ricardo Eloy
I don't get it. Why would you want to extrude something along another axis? It doesn't make sense to me....
Eric
I have had similar issues. When I draw, for example, a closed line in elevation (front) view, and apply an extrude modifier, it will extrude along it's own plane (resulting in a flat extrusion). It's done this to me in Plan view as well, though the help file says this is to be expected (flat extrusions). Eric
Munz
Eric, that is exactly the problem I am having...basicly I have to rotate the closed spline so it shows up in plan and then trace the spline and extrude the new spline...alot of work just to extrude something... I guess this is not just me that has this problem...
Munz
well after 53 view of this thread no one seems to know if it is possible to extrude along a different axis. I guess I want not just over looking something...I will contact discreet and see if they can shead any light on this... munz
