cellophane
Greetings - I am re-finding the enjoyment of doing CG work and illustrations and am interested in doing some freelance work - however I have zero clue on how to actually go about starting something like that. Any advice on how to get my feet off the ground is very appreciated. I do most of the viz work in the office but it is usually pretty simplistic. Straight from SketchUp to the client (our clients aren't exactly refined ) with very little post work. Thanks! edit - or I could learn to use the search feature... Jonathan Sanchez
Chad Start by creating a portfolio of your work. Maybe you can create a website. Then show it to ppl you already know: Architects, Designers, Contractors, Developers.. anybody that can give you work, and talk to them. Call up your local firms. Create business cards, flyers, pamphlets, anything to get the word out... and you'll see how soon enough, and probably slowly at first, work will come in.
