Tiles Material Script/Plugin

Does anyone know of a script/plugin which gives more control over creating custom tiles in max ? I am trying to create custom pavers and finding it a bit of a struggle to get what I am after.

You could try bercon Tile, much better control over tiles than standard max map. Or Brix if you want a better tile making solution, albeit more complicated. or just make maps in photoshop over a rendered tile map for the grout and colour variation (use as a mask)
