vizfx
I suppose you`re talking about working time. If so, I prefer to split it into small pieces: modeling, texturing, animation, rendering, post, even per object if the scene is complex. Like this is much easier to estimate the working time and finally do the math.
Tom Hamelrijckx
You'll have to do it manually I'm afraid. Just put a reccurrent reminder in your agenda and note down every day what you did and how much time you spent on it. After a few projects you'll already have a good idea about average timings... Trick
If you use Outlook, best thing for project-, time- and documentmanaging is http://www.inloox.com. I'm currently investigating and really like it !
Lutz1973
I use mdProjectTimer for time tracking, works great for me. The "standard version" is freeware, once installed you can change the program language to english. It's even possible to create your own project-templates including particular jobs (texturing, lighting and so on....). When your project is finished, the program exports a summary (*.pdf) of your working time. Unfortunately the homepage is only available in german.... http://www.mdprojecttimer.de/Downloads.aspx
