Maestro101
Hey all. What is practical difference between 2d and 3d displacement in Vraydisplecement mod? Except the fact that 3d displacement has "keep continuity " option? I see that the quality is set in diffrent way but are there any practical reasons that make you choose one method over another? Devin Johnston
You should use 2d on flat objects like a rug or a ground plane, 3d is for 3 dimensional objects like rocks or a car tire. 3D displacement takes a lot more time and memory to render so try to stick with 2d as much as possable.
