paneli
Imagine the situation. I save my render settings into a render preset. Saving my work, closing 3D MAX. After awhile, opening 3D MAX once again, loading my scene and picking up the same render preset. The issue - as soon as I load another preset (or reload the same) the Vray Sky returns to default setting (in other words, loses connection with Sun) and I have to pull the configured Vray Sky from the Material Editor (Instance or Copy) again to the GI Environment. It wouldn't be so terrible if I had only 1 or 2 viewpoints. But I have 6. It's kind of annoying resetting the GI Environment every time I change the render preset. The problem appears in both machines. One runs Windows XP SP3 with 3D Max 8 & Vray 1.5RC3 Second runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64x 3D Max 2009 & Vray 1.5SP4a Help? P.S What presets are used for if not quick loading render setting to a current view or scene? Edit: I tried the same thing with Windows 7 Ultimate 64x + 3D Max 2011 & Vray 1.5SP5. Anyway to get over this? Edited December 7, 2010 by Panibor
