max.m
I want to buy a New Monitor for 3D and photoshopping. Actually i have a 4 Year old 24" Dell, which satisfied me all Times and a 19" beside it for dual Mode. Now i want to buy à New Monitor for à Second Workstation. I checked the Tests and Found the dell u2711 is good and cheap. As i often work on scenes with high polygonnumbers by doing archviz i am wondering if a 27" Monitor slows down the viewport Performance in 3ds max. If this is true i think about the Dell i 2410. Would Be thankfull for suggestions. Edited December 11, 2010 by max.m
AJLynn
First, it's not size that can affect performance, it's resolution (in total pixels). The 27" you're looking at does have more of those than the 24", but if you have a decent video card it's not going to be a problem. That Dell also gives good color. It's one that I've recommended on 3datstech.com. If you can budget it, go for it. (And don't forget to calibrate it. I used one of these myself.)
