Jim Mann
Just spotted a post from Peter Guthrie over on Twitter. He has spotted a Chinese company trying to pass off one of his images as their own on their website. There lots of images there, you might want to check you haven't been ripped off too. The offenders: http://www.origincg.com/e_showproduct.asp?id=270 Peters originals: http://www.peterguthrie.net/visualisation/farnsworth01/ Jim
armilla
How dumb can you get, to try and pass off a Peter Guthrie image as your own! I recognise a few of the other residential images from other sources, though I can't recall the particular artists. AF13 looks very familiar. Supposedly they've been going since 2005, so you'd think they'd have plenty of their own work to show. Utterly shameless.
notamondayfan
Its a sad day when another one of these companies pops up! Personally I wouldnt trust anyone in design who couldn't produce an attractive logo!!
Jim Mann
Blimey, Posted the same message on cgtalk and they closed the thread - consituted a "witch hunt" apparently. Copyright is a pretty serious issue right now so for a discussion on copyright infirngement and passing-off to be declared taboo is a real disappointment. Hurrah for cgarchitect! Jonathan Sanchez
I'd probably bet most of those images are stolen. I don't see the logic behind this. If you need to steal other artist's great work, which means you probably can't produce imags of that quality, but you claim to, when a client hires you, how will you deliver? P.S. Are there "LLC"s in China?

Frosty
My bet is there is no LLC. If the lie about their work, why wouldn't they lie about that to gain business.
easy3dsource
http://tinyurl.com/lmgdto OH MY GOD.... how did you set that up? In my circle of friends, I've become the go-to computer / software guy, and you have no idea how many times I could have used this...

lftspc
hum.. cgtalk... i think they don't really care about architecture artwork. i'm not surprised. besides i've heard that it's kind of hard to get those LLC's from LCC's (low-cost-countries) into justice. At the end, they might get some work out of it. What a crime.. well spoted Jim. Thanks. Blimey, Posted the same message on cgtalk and they closed the thread - consituted a "witch hunt" apparently. BVI
I'm sure their customers will find out that they cannot produce that level of 3D when they use them for the first time. Maybe they plan on grabbing the deposit and heading for the hills?
John Dollus
I particularly like how those are all shown in their 'animation frames' gallery section instead of the rendering gallery.
