I am composing an internal tutorial on using Autodesk Impression, but every DWF I try to import crashes Impression. So no I am trying to figure out if I have a bad install of Impression, or if there is another problem. I tested this on one other of our machines, and it crashed also.

So, ...I am wondering if someone could quickly draw a couple of boxes, create a DWF file of those boxes, and send it to me so I can try and import it and see if Impression crashes again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Travis

Does Autodesk still support Impression? I have used it a bit in the past, but there is little if any support.

At some point in 2009 Impression 3.0 became part of the subscription pack. ...so I am not sure how much it will continue to be developed. Is subscription freebies where things go when they are no longer being developed? Not sure myself.

I have never worked it into my pipeline, but I think it could be useful. Especially since it has the ability to create decent NPR linework. Judging from the looks it is better at this than Ink&Paint shaders, or contour shaders. Both of which are limited in terms of wiggle, and overlapping lines.

Though you can't animate in Impression. I wonder if you could batch file linework with consistency?
