Need script to remove colorcorrect plugin from all max files.

I am extensively using colorcorrect in max design 2010 at work. But now the powers that be have given me a deadline to shift to max 2011, as they are paying for the subscription every year. Unfortunately, colorcorrect isn't available for 2011 :(

Now, I need a script that'll go thru all my max files, scan all the materials for colorcorrect - and when it finds it, render the material as a bitmap, save it, and then replace that bitmap instead of colorcorrect. And if possible, the script should check if the CC source is an hdri, and then save the result as hdri.

Can anyone help me with such a script? Or else suggest any other method so I can shift smoothly to 2011?

Thanks in advance :)

how interested are you in transferring the old settings?

I don't think it would be too difficult to do a flat swap of the colorcorrect to the color correction

Is there a script that will convert them for the current open scene? If so, its not hard to adapt it to a directory of files

I will need to preserve the settings; otherwise when I open a file after 6-8 months, I will have a tough time figuring out why my textures aren't looking the same as before. :p

OK I got it sort of sorted, found a installer finally as the website was down. I installed it and uninstalled it, it left a file behind and I have copied that on all my renderfarm machines. Not the best solution but it worked so happy with that.

Can you give me the link please?

I would recommend switching to built in version also. I know some don't like it as much, but at least it doesn't cause all of those annoying extra 3dsmax.exe process's.

Also, if you have to do it by hand, the Slate editor may make the job easier.

If anyone is getting multiple 3dsmax processes you can use this script to kill them, put it in your startup scripts
