thomasj
Hello, just curious what everyone else uses GI: What to use for Primary and Secondary bounces for interior/ exterior scenes thanks inside of vray 1.5sp4 adv Edited January 4, 2011 by thomasj
alias_marks
I'd go with Irr Map for Primary, and Light Cache for secondary... sometimes for exteriors, you can ditch secondary bounces all together, depends on the scene.. if you see a lot of the interior.. maybe not a good idea. If you have moving objects in an animation, brute force might be a better option.
anejo
I generally use Irr for primary and LC for secondary for both interior/exterior scenes. however, I have tried Brute Force for exterior primary bounce which gave a slightly better image quality, but at the expense of excessive render times. paneli
Irr first LC second. I think Gamma 1.8 suits interiors better than 2.2. Your call.
