Camby1298
Anybody else encounter this? When I close out a file, or go to open another file from Max, the current file takes so long to close out? Any Remedies anyone has come across to fix this???
alias_marks
got the same problem, would love a solution if anyone has come up with one too. When I close the file.. it's like the Ram just takes forever to unload...
jinsley
I have experienced this... it seems to occur when I have an extreme amount of proxies visible in the view port. Although I don't know if that has anything to do with it... I have had some success with turning off those proxies layers... I also have a feeling that sometimes it is just Max stumbling along and doing its thing... and what the reason is, no one knows.
Crazy Homeless Guy
Not an answer to the question, but this is the fastest way to close Max... download this file, delete the .txt so it ends in .bat, and then double click. Make sure to save first. **** I am not responsible for lost work with this one.
A.Mitov
I have the same issue. Usually happens with more heavy scenes or ones with proxies. It is even worse if you have just rendered a frame on larger resolution and then you try to close Max. If that happens sometimes I close the program by ending the process in Task Manager.
