Free web space ?

There are a lot of free hosting sites (AKA Angelfire.com) that offer a small bit of storage - usually around 10-20 MB, the trade-off is that if you make webpages, you have to put up with their advertising.

Though not free, shared hosting providers are worth a look. High competition and the lowering cost of storage space have resulted in some ultra-cheap plans. You can get 500-800MB of space, with complete hosting & e-mail plans for about $9 a month (with a one year plan) or $20-25 on a month to month basis. Plus these sites usually have a good deal on domain names - $15-20 per year, much cheaper than the $35-40 that most registration services charge.

Yeah, it costs money, but $9 a month for 800MB storage, 20GB of transfer, your own e-mail & web, FTP & database hosting, (and sometimes even e-commerce solutions) is a great deal.

www.godaddy.com .....$8.95 registering, you own full rights to the name, you don't even have to host with them.

i curently use www.addr.com for hosting $9.95 on a month to month basis. 300 meg storage 5 email account, 25 gb transfer, no complaints.

...but i am going to switch to these guys for hosting http://www.ipowerweb.com/ $8 a month with year plan, 800 mb, 400 email accounts 40gb transfer. they even throw in the domain name, but you need to double check, and make sure you own full rights to it. they may have a clause that says you can't transfer out of there system if they give it you for free.

It sounds really expencive :) Think we are lucky here in Denmark.

We have a lot of cheap and good hostes, from about 1$/month.

http://www.b-one.nu is an exampel. I dont know why there is a limit for traffic on the englich version.

I used brinkster.com for a while before I got my own domaine name. Its was free and really good, try that one.
