Big shout out to anyone affected by the floods in Queensland.

Our office has been shut and sand bagged, hopefully we will be able to get back in soon.

Justin, how you guys doing down there? Its horrible.

 

And now I read that 8 of the 9 provinces in South Africa has been declared as flood disasters, but nothing to compare like whats going on down in Auz.

its having a massive impact, one that will take a long time to recover from. The flooded area is now including western parts of Victoria and Tasmania.

 

One of the most spectacular events, was when a 300 tone "floating" walkway broke free. Two tug boats came a guided it down the river so that it wouldn't hit any bridges. and one of the funnier ones, it a family evacuated their property, the waters reached the roof. When they went back after the water dropped, they found a cow walking around on the roof.

 

There have been some in the office who have lost alot, others who came really close. I know that Ky Lane was affected.

 

A great thing that has come out of this is the community spirit, over 50 000 people turned up to help in the clean-up effort over the last weekend.
