thomasj
hello. It was very easy to make a material transparent in vray rhino, i'd like to try it in 3ds max, what control in material editor would allow me to do this with a vray material? thanks! Stephen Thomas
You can either do it by changing the colour of the refraction swatch, or if you want to use 'standard material' type transparency that doesn't distort the refractions then drop a VrayColor map (or bitmap depending on what you're doing) into the opacity slot.
