ivanjay
Hello, I am trying to open a rendering from an outsource company we utilize and for some reason it is generating an error. The file was created in Max 2010 and we use Max Design 2011. The author is using cgsource multi texture plugin on a 64 bit machine. I have the plugin installed but am on a 32 bit machine. The author also has vray which I also have installed. The error is: An error has occurred and the application will now close. No scene changes have occurred since your last save. Could anyone possibly help me? It is too large to post on here but I can send you the file via yousendit.
Koper
Can you import the file, instead of opening it?

visualizedconcepts
Try 'Merge' = import a Max file. TB
ivanjay
Will that bring in the materials too or just geometry?
Cyberstyle
Will that bring in the materials too or just geometry? It will bring in the geometry only with the materials applied. If you use the "pick material from object" tool you can get them back easy enough, or use the "scene materials rollout" in the material/map browser.
