Jock
I could have sworn i had this set up on my old machine but that went bust and on this temporary one i just cant get it to work. I can get it so the materials are vray by default but they are all different colours. My personal preference is that they are all grey. I've followed the instructions online several times with no joy. Basically i set up the materials as i want them, then click on 'get material', when in there i select 'Browse from:Mtl Editor > save as' then save it into the defaults folder under max.vray > factory settings. But as soon as i restart max the multicoloured ones come back up. I've also tried doing the same but in the max folder rather than the vray one, then selected max from the 'custom ui and defaults' dropdown but still no joy. Its not a huge deal but if anyone could help it would be appreciated. Thanks

Jock
Thats the guide i've been following. Looking on the net i've never seen anyone say it doesnt work, just that it does so i'm a bit puzzled why its not working for me.

Jock
Nope, I read through that too though it pretty much says the same as the vray.info website. I tried it just now just to make sure and nothing. Must be something to do with versions of max or something...im guessing. Thanks for your help though.
