Macpod
Hi guys. Anyone know how to pack cubes into a polygon in rhino? or to populate a surface without distorting its shape or orientation? I dont want to use flow on surface for that reason. thanks a bunch
Fernando Lino
you could use Armadillo plugin(great plugin) or Paneling tools(free) I think for that. Fernando
Macpod
thanks for these suggestions. I ended up projecting curves and then arraying the blocks on those curves somewhat randomly... I tried paneling tools but couldn't find something that would create a random patchwork of cubes without distorting their orientation according to the surface. Macpod
found a decent solution in the combination of the random points generator in paneling tools and then using the replace-point-with-block script downloaded from macneel wiki.
