Alyosha Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Hey there, I have this very simple .dwg file that i'd like to import into max, but all it imports is a single straight line...the dwg is like a drawing or smtn though not just splines, maybe thats got something to do with it? but a similar dwg of same project it opens up no problem halp!!!!! Sketchrender Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Open it in autocad, or microstation what ever you have, and strip out the line that is giving you trouble. Go through the layers one by and fit all to screen. There is an object out of wak somewhere. Just needs to be cleaned up. phil Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ricardo Eloy Posted January 27, 2011 Share Posted January 27, 2011 Importing DWGs can be a pain, sometimes. Same file may work or not, and there doesn't seem to be a logical explanation. That's why there are 3 different ways of doing it. Try AutoCAD Drawing, Legacy AutoCAD and File Link. One of them will work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
