jefferson
Greetings--- My software guys, Graphisoft, just opened a new and more "modern" talk-board, at last. Inclusive is the ability to include avatars along wiht your profile. All well and good, x-cept this guy doesn't seem able to get the file size down low enought to allow an upload. 90 x90 pixels, 10 KB max. I have Photoshop but apperently don't know how to drive well enough yet. :???: When you get done chuckling could you please send some tips my way. xgarcia
try saving the file format as .gif in photoshop. Also you can save as jpeg and set the compression between 5 and 8.
Frosty
The best method with PS is to use the "Save for Web" command. It will pop up a new window that will allow you tou tweak the compression settings on your image and see a live preview. As was suggested, you will use jpeg or gif depending on the image. Lots of solid colours lends itself to gif, photos lend themselves to jpeg.
jefferson
Thanx! Gave your suggestions a try and I have had some success. Still some trial and error to follow but I at least got something placed.
