Logitek
Hey Andrew, I don't think I have the answer to your display problem. To me it looks like a color depth problem (maybe the Vray FB color depth is not high enough to display nice gradients) but I might be totally off... What I would like to know, if you don't mind, is how your Vray upgrade went? Any issues or bugs or problem going from 1.5 to 2.0? I've been postponing this upgrade (as well as Max 2010 to 11!!) for quite a while because I just can't afford to lose even half a day with technical issue. So some reassuring words would help me do the jump :-)) thanks in advance for your time, and I hope you'll find a cure to your display problems. Cheers,
Andrew1
hi there, I am not sure how to resolve this ..., I tried today again to fight with this a bit, I changed display settings from driect draw to open gl and vise versa still same problem...., I've never seen this problem in the past..., In regards to the update it went ok , uninstall whetever vray version you may have, install new vray, generate the files to submit to chaosgroup they will release you an update file via e-mail , and you supposed to double click on the file to transfer the license to your dongle, how ever in windows 7 x 64 that did not work for me as windows asked what file I want to use to open the update.rtu where they say by double clicking it should update the dongle license..., I had to go to control panel, open the WibuKey app and load the update.rtu there to update the dongle license..., after that the new vray 2 with vray RT has been working every since..., in regards to compatibilities , to be honest I haven't had that much time on my hands to experiment, but I ran a few tests and it works great , I must say I really like the RT gpu prerendering in active shade mode.... they must've heard me complaining in the past lol about cashing in for each individual vray application..., now they combined vray with vray RT hats off to chaos group !!!! Well other than that time will tell how it all performs... Hope I was of help to you, Cheers, Andrew.
