6 Degrees
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone new how to fix these things that just won't go away on this image. I have uploaded the settings as well as the image. We are using viz 4 to try and create this radiosity image but are having a few problems. The meshing size is set at 12. The rest of the settings you can see in the jpg. 1., 2., 3. are planes. Does radiosity not effect planes? Because everytime we try and increase the lighting they still don't show up. They have been changed to accept radiosity in the material browser. But still no go. 4. We can't figure out why the inside of the doors are lighter than the outside frames. They are the same texture, mapping etc. 5. We keep getting these strange black marks on the chairs. We bought these chairs from turbo squid and they worked fine in fakiosity but they have these black marks in radiosity. The lighting is set up with a sun and 4 area lights, 1 for the ceiling only and one for the planes that don't show up. The other two are for the room. We are under a tight deadline but really are losing more and more wits and hair the longer these keep reappearing. Appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks Duane
Ismael
Up the Initial Quality for Radiosity to at least the default 85%. The chairs may have some normals facing the wrong way and or smoothing groups problem. Ismael
Woody79
you will need refine iterations. around 60-80 on small objects, and 20-30 on others. then add final gather to tighten everything up. is the scene to scale? check my website for comprehensive max radiosity tutorials.
