Jeff Mottle
I can't help but think there is something fishy about them based upon the way they are recruting.
Ernest Burden III
I can't help but think there is something fishy about them based upon the way they are recruting. It's really hard to tell. The use of language is very odd, suggesting a lack of international sophistication, but so is their website. The use of phrases like 'partners' and 'contract' sound like a project-farming situation. It is important to remember that there is more to the world's economy than what we see from the vantage point of North America. There are firms who make a good living while never being visible here. Maybe this is one of them. Their client list (none as such, but projects shown) does not look like anything I would recognise. So I cannot tell how legit your email looks. I did not get it, by the way. Looking to change jobs, Jeff? Italy is a darned nice country.

TheAllusionisst
Jeff, I got the same e-mail, sent back a high figure to see what they say. I am leary of anyone making an open ended offer. There site looked pretty good, but the menu had some links that didn't work, so it may have been rushed together.
Gabriella_A
Well... I live in Italy... The only thing I can say that I NEVER heard of them... The CG industry in Italy is not very strong, but the only thing I can say is that a leading company should have their head office in Milan.. in Rome... not in the very deep south of Italy...(Lecce in this case) There are cases of very important firms that are in the center Italy..(STack studios, for example...) but unfortunately not in the south... I was born near Naples... I made all my studies there.. but I HAD to move in the north of the country to work, and obiovously I'm not happy with that... Perhaps I'm making a big mistake... but I'll never leave the Smooth for this kind of company... Even if in Lecce the winter is more more warm than in Canada And be careful.. some times italians are smart people Only my two cents... Cheers, Gabriella
Harjeet Singh
...and to point out, how can an established firm of repute can sent unsolocited mails like these? They would have been advertising it on msn, yahoo, google or cgarchitect if they are real professional firm !!! best regards Harjeet Singh
kid
got a bit wary when they go to great lengths to describe their headquarters and various buildings, and how the grass is nice and great and the view is nice, but they don't actually tell you where they are... fishy

Gnarly Cranium
This 'Lightmotion' thing has been spamming CGtalk and as far as they can tell, just about every other CG board they can get their hands on. It is NOT legit by any means-- they claim credit in half the movies on the planet, and their base address doesn't exist. Even if they're not outright trying to steal work, it seems that they are doing everything they can to get email addresses. DO NOT REPLY to those emails, even to say no!
