Stephen Thomas
I wonder how many times he/she thought 'right, surely that's enough now!' and the developer said 'can we just get a few more people?' haha.
alias_marks
I wonder how many times he/she thought 'right, surely that's enough now!' and the developer said 'can we just get a few more people?' haha. I could see that being the case a lot of times, but there's something about this particular image that tells me the artist was having a lot of fun with it, and may have just gone one for the joy of making fun, nuanced interactions with people.. who knows.. I enjoy comping one or two people when you have the luxury of budget for stock or a shoot, but cut&paste 6 thousand people? No thanks. And they did three of these. I think it was HOK in-house. rdubrow
If it was an actual hot summer day on Coney Island that represents about 1/10 of the people that would be there. HOK cheaped out! I've actually gotten stuck on that boardwalk where you cant take a step in any direction for 10 minutes at a time, its literally 30 minutes to get from the beer stand to the beach. Crazy Homeless Guy
I obviously don't live in New York, and really know nothing about this project, but I am missing the article or reference to HOK's involvement in the project? Maybe someone can help a brother out. On full disclosure, ...I work for HOK in San Francisco. So maybe the New York office did work on this, but I haven't seen reference to HOK's name with it besides this thread.

This website page is where I found the images, it says all images are courtesy of HOK: http://www.nycedc.com/PressRoom/PressImages/Pages/PressImages.aspx
