Peter M. Gruhn
I was in an office earlier this week. They are running ADT2007 and experiencing (I saw, it happened to me) frequent shut downs by ADT. I'm at a loss as to where to begin looking. Three machines in regular use. Similar set ups, I think. No known "well Bob's does it less". They are using walls and windows etc. (AEC Objects?) They are not making intentional use of 3d, not even switching to a SE view. Say their previous install (ADT2002) was working nicely. I'd appreciate any clues as to where to poke at the problem. - g
Peter M. Gruhn
> Which OS I feel like schmuck for not including that in original post. Hmm.. I noticed Aero and display properties was "funny" and they had talked about a recent upgrade/something. I'm going to guess Vista. > vista because vista no longer supports open GL Display Ah hah. And 2007 is probably too old to make use DX. > there were some fixes in the autocad website Will look. > but some of these problems keep appearing Hooray! > Downgrade to XP Probalby not an option. Though if it is, I don't think I'll be in charge! > or run in XP Mode (64 Bits Only) Not sure which thing is doing which. ADT or Vista in XP mode? ADT or XP must be 64 bit install? > Alternate fix: turn off hardware acceleration, and set all the 3d Config settings off and to low Could work, as they are using it strictly 2d. > Yes the wall clean up is a mess That's one of the questions they were hoping I could answer. Thanks for the tip. > Finally, there are serious issues with performance due to a multiple scale drawings, fix: delete all non used scales, Another nice one. Ta. ADT isn't really in my experience zone, I just wing it better than a lot of people. Thanks again. - g
