"Tape Measure" in C4D?

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm a former 3DS MAX user who is moving over to Cinema4D. I'm doing a very simple architecural visualization & am missing the tape tool found in Max. Does C4D have anything comparable? I've done searches but have not found anything.

 

Also, is there a good stair generator. I found duplimatrix.

I'm sure I have seen a tape measure plugin somewhere. I'll keep my eye out.

 

About the only stair plug I've seen is one by Paul Everett. It was only ever in beta and he never sold it. Email me for a copy.

don't know if is comparable, because I don't have Max, but to measure You can use "Dimensions" by P. Everett. free.

 

You can find there also "Stairs" but I don't know if is the same...

Thats the same stair tool. I lost the link to Paul's old site. TY

 

Another plug he has that site which is quite cool is Finger Painter. It makes planting trees, shrubs, rocks on a terrain very easy. It can generate instances as well.
