Deetee
Hello guys... as we all know if we wanted to display our texture as full resolution inside viewport display, we go for option below Enable Customize->Preferences->Viewport->Configure Drive->Match Bitmap Size as Closely as Possible, and restart Max. but my current problem is that whenever i checked on "match bitmap size as closely as possible" and restart, it just revert back to unchecked mode... why is it so??? i used to use this option for better bitmap display purpose, but why fail for this time? i used to use 3ds max 2010, and now in this new company, we use 3ds max design 2011. can it be the issue? this version buggy or something??? how can i fix it??? DavidR
No, don't restart Max, just do everything up to that, then reload the map in mat editor. I don't know why Max doesn't keep the 'match bitmap" setting anymore -Max gets more broken with every release since 2009 is the only answer I can give you. Deetee
uh... reloading maps in mat editor helps? i didnt know that... thanks for the information!!! im definitely gonna try it tomorrow when i get back into the office. yeah... sometimes i seriously dont understand what autodesk "updating" the version too... there are quite several stuff i seriously hate it about in 2011. snap tools in 2011 is totally **** up!!! back to ver 2010, splitting 3dsmax and 3dsmaxdesign is kind a joke too.
